DC Studios released the first official trailer for “Supergirl” today, offering audiences their first look at Milly Alcock in the dual role of Kara Zor-El, with the film set to arrive in theaters and IMAX across North America on June 26, 2026.

The long-awaited trailer marks a major moment for DC Studios’ expanding cinematic universe, putting the spotlight squarely on Alcock — best known for her breakout role in “House of the Dragon” — as she steps into the iconic red-and-blue cape. The film is directed by Craig Gillespie from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira.

According to the official synopsis, the film follows Kara Zor-El as she is forced into action when a ruthless adversary strikes close to home, sending her on an interstellar journey of vengeance and justice alongside an unlikely companion.

Alcock stars opposite a cast that includes Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham and Jason Momoa. The film is produced by DC Studios heads Peter Safran and James Gunn, with Nigel Gostelow, Chantal Nong Vo and Lars P. Winther serving as executive producers.

“Supergirl” is based on characters from DC, with the title character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The film is a Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company production, distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures. International audiences will see the film beginning June 24, 2026.
