All 10 seasons of “Smallville” will arrive on Netflix in select regions on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, marking a significant streaming milestone for the beloved Superman prequel series. The complete 217-episode collection represents one of the most comprehensive superhero television runs in history.

The show will be available in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Italy, and Austria, though the rollout does not include the United States, Latin American territories, or Asian markets like India or Japan. In the U.S., streaming rights remain with Hulu, which has held the series for several years.

“Smallville” originally premiered in 2001 on The WB (later renamed The CW), setting the template for the modern superhero TV boom. The show follows adolescent Clark Kent before he becomes Superman, chronicling his journey from the Kansas town of Smallville through his high school years and eventual move to Metropolis.
The series was created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who currently helm Netflix’s “Wednesday.” The show became famous for its “No Tights, No Flights” rule, which focused on Clark’s emotional development rather than traditional superhero iconography.

Tom Welling starred as Clark Kent, with Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor in what many consider one of the best on-screen portrayals of the villain. The cast also featured John Schneider as Jonathan Kent, Annette O’Toole as Martha Kent, Kristin Kreuk as Lana Lang, Allison Mack as Chloe Sullivan, Erica Durance as Lois Lane, John Glover as Lionel Luthor and Justin Hartley as Oliver Queen.
The show’s availability on Netflix could expand to additional regions as licensing agreements evolve in the future.
