In the acting categories, Timothée Chalamet won best actor for “Marty Supreme,” and Jessie Buckley won best actress for “Hamnet.” Jacob Elordi took best supporting actor for “Frankenstein,” while Amy Madigan won best supporting actress for “Weapons.”
“Sinners” emerged as one of the night’s big winners, taking home four awards. The film won best casting and ensemble, a new category this year, which went to Francine Maisle. Miles Caton was named best young actor or actress, Ryan Coogler won best original screenplay, and Ludwig Göransson won best score.
“Frankenstein” also proved a major winner with four trophies, while “KPop: Demon Hunters” and “F1” each took home two awards.
On the television side, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” won best talk show, while “Last Week Tonight With John Oliver” took the trophy for best talk series. The “SNL50: The Anniversary Special” won in its category.
The red carpet featured notable fashion moments, with Elle Fanning, Teyana Taylor, Michael B. Jordan, Jessica Biel and Chase Infiniti among those recognized as best-dressed by fashion observers.
Critics Choice Award winners are determined by approximately 600 critics and journalists who are members of the Critics Choice Association. The awards are often viewed as an early indicator for the Academy Awards, though the voting bodies differ significantly in size and composition.
The ceremony marks one of the first major awards shows of 2026, kicking off a season that will culminate with the Oscars later this year.
