ASTON, PA — Delaware County will soon have a new destination for music, arts, and community events. The Mill at Rockdale, a mixed-use venue in Aston’s growing Rockdale Arts District, is scheduled to open in November. The 250-person capacity space will host live music, comedy shows, open mics, art exhibitions, vendor markets, private events, and educational programming.

Founded by lifelong friends and Penncrest alumni Jared Loss and Michael Gaydos, the venue was carefully planned over four years to create a welcoming space for both artists and audiences in DELCO.

“We have built the venue we always wished existed in our hometown,” said Loss. “The Mill at Rockdale is about creating a new home for music and the arts in Delaware County—one that supports local talent, attracts regional visitors, and grows with the community.”

Gaydos added that the venue represents both a cultural and economic investment in the area.

“Our lifelong friendship and shared passion for music and the arts led us here. We see The Mill as a long-term investment in the cultural and economic future of the area—especially as small venues in nearby cities like West Chester and Wilmington go by the wayside.”

The Mill aims to reflect the diversity and energy of Delaware County. The venue plans to partner with local schools and colleges for performing arts programs and internships, while also collaborating with area vendors such as breweries, distilleries, and caterers to provide an entirely local experience.

The Mill at Rockdale will open on Saturday, November 8, with the “Share the Stage” event featuring neurodiverse musicians performing alongside professional artists from the Philadelphia region. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Autism Science Foundation. Later in November, Philadelphia’s psychedelic folk group Cosmic Guilt will perform alongside Nashville artist Cole Gallagher. In December, The Mill will host its grand opening with The Real Feel’s album release show.

With its combination of live performances, education, and community programming, The Mill at Rockdale positions itself as a hub for cultural enrichment and local entertainment, aiming to bring residents and visitors together while supporting Delaware County’s growing arts economy.
