Dark Horse Books is releasing a new edition of “The Last Voyage of Sindbad,” a fantasy graphic novel by writer Jan Strnad and artist Richard Corben. Previously titled “New Tales of the Arabian Nights,” this edition is described as the definitive version of the story, featuring restored artwork by project art director José Villarrubia, new essays, and introductions by Jan Strnad and Guillermo del Toro.

The story follows Sindbad, who, after a drunken mistake, finds himself targeted by an evil Djinn. Guided by a mysterious stranger, Sindbad faces monsters, deception, and supernatural horrors in a voyage that tests every ounce of his courage and skill. The edition promises an immersive experience for fans and collectors alike, with 120 pages in an 8-by-11-inch hardcover.

“The Last Voyage of Sindbad” will be available in bookstores on May 26, 2026, and in comic shops on May 27, 2026, for $34.99. Pre-orders are available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and local bookstores or comic shops.

Praise for Richard Corben highlights his influence in the medium, with Guillermo del Toro calling him “one of the most precise and admirable storytellers in the medium” and Harlan Ellison noting, “This is Corben at his consummate best.”
