“Superman” (2025) continues a steady late-summer run, reaching $600,900,181 worldwide as of Aug. 24. The tally includes $344,500,181 domestic and $256 million international, according to studio accounting tracked by Box Office Mojo. Success also comes with raving positive reviews and audience scores.

The film’s momentum was set in July with a $122 million debut in the U.S. and Canada, one of the year’s best openings, and $95 million more from overseas markets for a $217 million global launch weekend, per Reuters and AP. Industry databases list a production budget of about $225 million, putting the film comfortably past standard breakeven thresholds and tracking at roughly 2.7× its production cost in global box office.

Domestically, “Superman” now ranks No. 3 for 2025 behind “A Minecraft Movie” and “Lilo & Stitch,” based on in-year grosses, and sits just under the $600 million mark worldwide on the year-to-date chart, where it currently places No. 6. Both rankings are reflected in Box Office Mojo’s 2025 tables and worldwide leaderboard.

“Man of Steel” (2013) finished with $291,045,518 domestic and $670,145,518 worldwide, figures that “Superman” has already surpassed domestically but not yet globally. The earlier film’s totals are recorded in Box Office Mojo’s archive. Analysts note that adjusted for inflation, Snyder’s film still holds an edge in historical domestic terms.

With theatrical play still active in parts of the U.S. and overseas, “Superman” is expected to continue to cross the $600 million global threshold imminently, while Warner Bros. plans to extend the title’s run with premium formats and an upcoming streaming debut on Max. “Superman” is available digitally.
