Look up, London: Superman seen flying over the Shard

1 min read

Superman has been spotted atop the Shard, a prominent London landmark in the United Kingdom.

This iconography has been strategically placed to promote DC Studio’s upcoming film “Superman,” which is scheduled to be released globally in the coming weeks of July.

Superman took to the skies before the London premiere of the movie today, July 2, as the super-marketing continues to be out of this world.

Before the movie premiered today, at the UK fan event, the film’s director, James Gunn, the titular actors David Corenswet (Superman), Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), Nicholas Hoult (Lex Luthor) and Superman all joined forces on the rooftop for some epic promotional shots.

“Superman” stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as star-studded Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane, Skyler Gisondo as photographer Jimmy Olsen, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Hoult as classic antagonist Lex Luthor, Neva Howell as Marhta Kent, Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan “Pa” Kent, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, and Christopher McDonald as Ron Troupe.

The cast also includes Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Terence Rosemore as Otis, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner and María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer.

“Superman” is slated to arrive in U.S. theaters on July 11, 2025.
