Once again, I fell down an internet rabbit hole, and once again, I discovered glorious art related to Superman. Last week, I found images used in the first two seasons of the animated series “My Adventures with Superman.” This week, it’s “DC League of Super-Pets.”

Enter Matt Gaser. According to his portfolio website, Gaser is an award-winning Fantasy/Sci-Fi Concept Artist & Illustrator living in Northern California. He began his studies learning Illustration and Entertainment Design at Art Center College of Design.

After graduation, he worked in video games for six years concept designing on PlayStation titles “Eragon,” “Forgotten Realms Demonstone,” and “Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.” He also worked on concept art for “League of Legends.” Matt also has illustrated for Magic the Gathering and World of Warcraft trading card games.

Gaser worked as an artist for the beautiful animated film “DC League of Super-Pets,” which boasts one of the most visually stunning versions of the Daily Planet and Metropolis. His art is featured in a gallery below. Make sure to visit his full portfolio site here.

In the animated film “DC League of Super‑Pets,” Superman’s loyal canine Krypto (voiced by Dwayne Johnson) finds himself on a desperate mission when his best friend Clark Kent/Superman (John Krasinski) and the rest of the Justice League are captured by Lex Luthor (Marc Maron).

Stranded without his powers, Krypto must rally an unlikely team of shelter animals—Ace the Bat‑Hound (Kevin Hart), telekinetic guinea pig Lulu (Kate McKinnon), size‑shifting pig PB (Vanessa Bayer), speed‑ster turtle Merton (Natasha Lyonne), and electric squirrel Chip (Diego Luna)—to master their newfound abilities and mount a rescue alongside Batman (Keanu Reeves). Featuring additional voices from Thomas Middleditch and Ben Schwartz, this heartwarming adventure proves that heroism comes in all shapes, sizes, and species.
