‘Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse’ gets official release date

On March 31, Sony Pictures Animation unveiled the first official look at the highly anticipated “Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse” during their CinemaCon Panel. The film’s release date is slated for June 4, 2027. 

The film is set to be the massive conclusion to the Oscar-winning animated Miles Morales Spider-Verse trilogy. In addition, a first teaser was also screened for those in attendance, and while that hasn’t been official, promo images and stills from the film, which feature Miles Morales, Gwen Stacey, and the new Prowler, were released. 

Producer Phil Lord offered a small appetizer regarding the film by noting the audience, “This movie picks up the moment [the second movie] ended.” Lord then described the third installment as a “massive finale” that will “break the boundaries with animation again.”

Directed by Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson. Produced by Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, and Jinko Gotoh. Aditya Sood and Christina Steinberg are executive producers. The screenplay is penned by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and David Callaham.

“Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” will feature returning voice actors Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy, Brian Tyree Henry as Jeff Morales, Luna Lauren Velez as Rio Morales, Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker, Oscar Isaac as Miguel O’Hara, Jason Schwartzman as Spot, Issa Rae as Jessica Drew, and Daniel Kaluuya, as Hobie Brown.
