Director Chris Stuckmann and executive producer Mike Flanagan have a new project on the horizon. NEON, the studio behind the recently acclaimed horror film Longlegs, took to Twitter today to announce the upcoming movie “SHELBY OAKS.”
The announcement tweet, which can be found here, is simply an image with the title “SHELBY OAKS” and the tagline “Coming Soon.” This follows the same pattern NEON used for “Longlegs,” which generated significant buzz online before its release.
Stuckmann, a well-known film critic and filmmaker, has dipped his toes into horror before with his 2018 feature film “Drew.” Flanagan, on the other hand, is a horror heavyweight. He is the mind behind popular horror miniseries like “The Haunting of Hill House” and “The Haunting of Bly Manor” on Netflix, as well as the critically acclaimed films “Hush” and “Doctor Sleep.”
With Flanagan’s pedigree and the success of “Longlegs,” expectations will surely be high for “SHELBY OAKS.” NEON has not yet announced a release date.
