Countdown to ‘Superman:’ The Planet welcomes you to share your thoughts

"Superman" debuts in exactly 365 days, and the Daily Planet welcomes you to share your thoughts on the movie for the next year in any media form.

There are 365 days until Warner Bros. officially christens the DC Cinematic Universe (DCU) with James Gunn’s “Superman,” and I thought it’d be great to celebrate the year-long wait with commentary, opinions and more.

For the next year, the Daily Planet will welcome contributed works in any media form where fans can share what they are excited or anxious about regarding the new film starring Big Blue.

The Daily Planet has always welcomed outside contributions, but this themed reach is all about the Man of Steel and what he means to you, the fans.

How to contribute

We will accept almost every contribution if it meets our ethical guidelines. However, we will not tolerate hate speech, conversations deliberately targeting groups negatively, or specific vulgar language. We will edit/review your work thoroughly and reach out with any concerns. Check out our Contribution Page for all information.

Let’s start here

For this project, I hope to capture the excitement and anxieties surrounding the film. People’s voices matter, and I want everyone to be heard.

For example, if you’re unhappy with concepts, set designs, the fact that we have a reboot in the first place, well.. I want to hear from you.

My hopes for this project are to immortalize the voices of people who love Superman. In a world that can often feel pretty divisive, I want the Planet to shine out as a place of unification through shared differences.

Consider contributing because I can’t wait to hear what you say!

“Superman” stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as star-studded Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane, Skyler Gisondo as photographer Jimmy Olsen, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Nicholas Hoult as classic antagonist Lex Luthor, Neva Howell as Marhta Kent, Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan “Pa” Kent, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, and Christopher McDonald as Ron Troupe.

The cast also includes Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Terence Rosemore as Otis, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner and María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer.

“Superman” is slated to land in theaters exactly one year from today, on July 11, 2025.
