MINNEAPOLIS—An estimated 600,000 people gathered in Minneapolis this weekend, filling Loring Park with music and more as they browsed vendors and enjoyed delicious food.
The vibrant atmosphere of love, acceptance and celebration filled the air as attendees reveled in the joyful festivities. With its rich history dating back to 1972, Twin Cities Pride has evolved into a beacon of inclusivity and diversity. This annual event is a powerful platform for the LGBTQ+ community, offering a space for advocacy, education, and solidarity.
Board Chair J’Kalein Madison noted that the colorful parade, electrifying performances, and thought-provoking exhibitions make Twin Cities Pride the third-largest pride event in the United States and the largest free pride event in the world.
With each passing year, Twin Cities Pride’s profound impact and significance continue to resonate across the region, uniting people from all walks of life in a joyful celebration of love and equality, while others ridicule the celebration as well.
