MINNEAPOLIS — On Saturday, September 21, Grammy-nominated DJ A-Trak will headline Avant Garden 2024, the Walker Art Center’s annual fundraising gala.
Tickets for the late-night party, which supports the museum’s artistic and educational programming, start at $150, go up to $25,000, and are available now.
Fool’s Gold Records founder A-Trak is best known for his work as part of the duo Duck Sauce, who produced the chart-topping dance song “Barbra Streisand.”
The DJ is the latest artist to headline the event, which featured Questlove, Vagabon, and MC Lyte in previous years, among others. Local DJs Kwey and McShellen will kick the party off.
This year’s Avant Garden is themed “Compositions for a Dream,” evoking an immersive moonlit gala draped in delicate gossamer.
The evening begins in the galleries with a gourmet dinner and art auction. At 8:30 PM, dinner guests and After-Party attendees will meet in the Wurtele Upper Garden for a memorable dance party scored by DJs A-Trak, Kwey and McShellen.
