A trailer has dropped for DC’s upcoming musical and psychological thriller “Joker: Folie à Deux,” which stars Joaquin Phoenix reprising his role as the Clown Prince of Crime and Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn. The film follows the hit thrill ride from 2019, “Joker.”
Todd Phillips wrote the sequel with Scott Silver. “Joker: Folie à Deux” is part of DC’s Elseworlds brand, set outside of the shared DC Universe being curated by “Superman” director James Gunn and co-creative studio head Peter Safran. Matt Reeves’ “The Batman Part II” movie and spinoff HBO Max series “Penguin” are also Elseworld stories.
“Joker: Folie à Deux” premieres Oct. 4, 2024.
