In celebration of Batman’s 85th anniversary, Candy Digital and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products are launching all-new DC digital collectibles, “The Legacy Cowls Collection” for $49.99 via the Candy Digital Platform.
Releasing Friday, March 29 on the Candy Digital Platform, this new digital collectible experience, based on “Batman: The Legacy Cowl,” the first original DC comic on the blockchain, commemorates a milestone in comic book history: the introduction of a new DC Super-Villain.
The Legacy Cowls Collection features 3D collectibles, with artwork based on “Batman: The Legacy Cowl” comic art created by DC artist Pablo M. Collar. By collecting a Legacy Cowl, fans can join the Candy DC NFT community and unlock exclusive experiences on the Candy Digital platform.
NFTs, otherwise known as non-fungible tokens, are unique cryptographic tokens that exist on a blockchain and cannot, in theory, be replicated. NFTs can represent digital or real-world items like artwork and real estate. NFTs have garnered some controversy on the net with critics pointing out that anything digital could be replicated or lost.

This summer marks the two-year anniversary of the launch of the DC NFT community where Bat Cowl Collection holders voted to create and shape the direction of an original comic book series in collaboration with DC artists and writers.
Spanning 57 votes and 3 chapters, “Batman: The Legacy Cowl,” culminated with the origination of a new DC Super-Villain. DC Bat Cowl holders participated in comic book voting, contributing to key decisions including titles, dialogue, and character development, while generating over 8 million impressions for the project. To date, DC digital collectible holders have spent over 400,000 hours on in-world engagements.
The Legacy Cowl Collection will be available beginning Friday, March 29 at 12 PM ET on the Candy Digital platform for $49.99 via the Candy Digital Platform.
