We’re celebrating Valentine’s Day with a nod to our favorite super-couple, Lois and Clark! Lois Lane and Clark Kent/Superman share a storied and complex romance that has captivated many for more than 80 years.

The Metropolis marvels were created by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster, starring in “Action Comics no.1” in June 1938.

Lois, a tenacious journalist, works alongside Clark at the Daily Planet, where they meet across a multitude of multiverses. They tend to fall into the trope of enemies to lovers competing as journalistic rivals for the leading news source.

Initially, they were involved in an interesting love triangle due to Lois being gaslight into thinking Superman, and his mild-mannered persona Clark, were not one and the same. This dynamic persisted for years, creating tension and intrigue. In modernity the two are depicted as a loving couple of years, either married or just existing in a longterm relationship.

The two are a team like none other and have faced countless foes saving countless lives in the process. Happy Valentine’s Day, Lois and Clark.
