Minneapolis Mayor Fey responds to DHS Secretary Noem’s call for ‘Protest Zones’

After Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem called for a “protest zone” to be set up in Minneapolis, Mayor Jacob Frey said he will not do so because “First Amendment speech is not limited to one park or one section of the city.” Noem, who appeared on “Face the Nation” Sunday, along with Frey, said she hoped Frey would announce an intention to “start working with us to bring safety to the streets.” “You are allowed to protest, so long as you’re doing it peacefully,” Frey responded. “We’ve got tens of thousands of people in Minneapolis that are grinning down the bear, that are peacefully expressing their First Amendment right.” #minneapolis #minnesota #ice #dhs #protest
