Derek Russell

Award-winning journalist and writer Derek Russell began podcasting in 2005, hosting over a dozen shows in the last two decades and producing many more. A former mild-mannered newspaper reporter and DC Comics writer, Russell has been consumed with storytelling from a young age, influenced by his DC Super Powers action figures in the 1980s. His first podcast, Starkville House of El - covering the WB/CW series "Smallville" - was featured on the sixth season DVD set for the series. In addition to his Superman audio pursuits, he also hosts "...with Brian Austin Green" with the titular "Beverly HIlls 90210" actor. Russell is the owner of McFly Media Group, LLC and executive producer of Oldish, hosted by Brian Austin Green, Sharna Burgess and Randy Spelling.
