Director James Gunn revealed that the movie’s cast would be at next year’s CinemaCon to “kick off the summer of Superman,” according to a live video from the set in Atlanta, Georgia, where filming is underway. David Corenswet (Superman) and co-star Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane) also appeared.
Gunn’s anticipation for the Summer of Superman was palpable as he shared, “I can’t wait to be in Vegas with all of you next year as we kick off the thrilling Summer of Superman.”
During the video montage, Cornswet declared, ”Can we disclose something?” Inciting massive discussion among all social media before closing with, “We can’t tell you anything about what we’re going to do today. [There’s] at least one man in a cape.”
As a special treat, near the end of Gunn’s presentation, the full Superman logo from the Man of Steel’s new costume for “Superman” was exclusively revealed on the screen.
Earlier this year, on Feb. 29, Gunn revealed the first official image of the new logo from the Superman set in Norway. This was from a prior report, which touched upon how the design is quite similar to past and present variations, with the main source of inspiration being pulled from artist Alex Ross.

‘Super/Man, The Christopher Reeve Story’ finds a theatrical release
Once the filmmaker’s brief glimpse of his latest project concluded, Fellow DC Studios CEO Peter Safran took the stage live from the event in Las Vegas, Nevada. He officially stated that ‘SUPER/MAN, The Christopher Reeve Story’ will be the first official film under the DC Studios label and slated for a September theatrical release, but no exact date was mentioned.
Those in attendance were greeted with a trailer that was an emotional main talking point, as reported by the trades and critics alike at the WB panel. However, it was made clear that it’s unknown when the footage will be released online.
“’Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story’ chronicles the life of actor Christopher Reeve after a horseback riding accident leaves him permanently paralyzed from the neck down. Using intimate footage of Reeve and his family, directors Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui paint a picture of a real-life hero known for his iconic role as Superman.”
