As the “War of the Bounty Hunters” continues, everyone’s path is leading to the newly reborn Crimson Dawn. Just about everyone in the galaxy, whether they have a connection to the carbonite frozen Han Solo or unfinished business with Solo or Crimson Dawn, has an invitation for the auction of Han Solo being held on the frozen planet of Jekara. As the “War of the Bounty Hunters” continues, Princess Leia and the Rebels learn that Han Solo has been found. They also learn that Boba Fett has lost the carbonite frozen smuggler. If you’re a Rebel, especially one who is a part of Leia’s inner circle, you would think that was good news. However, maybe it’s too good.

In “Star Wars: Bounty Hunters no. 12,” Beilert Valance is a man on the run from two bounty hunters, Zuckuss and 4-LOM. After saving the Rebel Alliance ship The Spirit of Jedha at the cost of his own ship, the Broken Wing, Valance has stolen a ship from Hondo Ohnaka’s old gang with fellow bounty hunter Dengar. While avoiding laser fire in an asteroid field, Valance and the bounty hunters all over the galaxy learn of a lucrative job that feeds the fire that is the “War of the Bounty Hunters.”

In the latest “Star Wars” issue, Charles Soule (Undiscovered Country, Darth Vader and Star Wars: The High Republic), has thrust the Rebel Alliance poster boy and future Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker and the mighty wookie Chewbacca into the “War of the Bounty Hunters.” And for the Jedi hopeful and beloved fur-ball, it is personal since this involves their friend, Han Solo, who is encased in carbonite.
