Tyson recalls over 20,000 pounds of chicken nuggets

Tyson Foods is recalling approximately 29,819 pounds of fully cooked, breaded, dino shaped chicken patty product that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically metal pieces, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced Saturday.

The announcement from the U.S. Department of Agriculture FSIS states the products were sold to distributors in the following states:

Alabama, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin.

The products were sold in 29 oz plastic bag packaging containing: Tyson fully cooked Fun Nuggets.

The nuggets have best if used by dates of Sep. 4, 2024.

The FSIS urges customers to throw away or return matching items to the store of purchase. At least one minor oral injury has been reported, according to the FSIS statement.
