Classified documents were ‘likely concealed and removed’ at Trump residence, per court filing

The Justice Department sought a search warrant for former president Donald Trump’s Florida residence after obtaining evidence that highly classified documents were likely concealed, a Tuesday court filing said.

The 36-page filing also states that Trump’s team had falsely claimed all sensitive material had been returned and that the FBI seized boxes and containers holding more than 100 classified records during its August 8 search.

This comes in response to Trump’s request for an independent review of materials seized from his home at Mar-a-Lago.
