Senate approves legislation on climate, taxes and health care

The Senate passed legislation related to climate, taxes, inflation and health care on Sunday. Democrats remained united, 51-50, and Vice President Kamala Harris cast the tie-breaking vote.

The economic package heads next to the House, where it is expected to pass.

The Senate passed the Inflation Reduction Act to fight climate change, cut drug costs and raise taxes, in a major win for President Biden and the Democrats.
