Putin makes veiled threat before invasion of Ukraine

1 min read

Russian President Vladimir Putin alluded to possible nuclear retaliation if the West attempts to intervene in its invasion of Ukraine, according to some sources.

Putin said the “consequences” of any attempt to strike back would provoke a response “never seen in history.”

Ukraine had previously given up its nuclear arsenal of leftover Soviet weapons in the early 1990s, after a promise of peace from Moscow.
